R: 32 / I: 7 What I believe vvill save the site:
For the rules I have something like this in mind:
1. You will NOT post illegal content or threaten illegal activities according to US law.
2. You will NOT promote self harm in any way. This includes homosexuality and transsexuality, whether it be ironic or not.
3. You will NOT post anything nsfw, porn, gore or anything overtly suggestive.
4. You will NOT advertise or discuss drama relating to discord UNLESS if it relates to offsite admins, an example is frootcord.
5. You will NOT self insert as anything in the nas coal list.
6. You will NOT spam the site excessively, whether it is excessive or not is up to moderators.
My rules are made with the intention of clarity and with more lenience in some areas, while being harsher in others. Posting nas should be allowed in my opinion, any form of harmful nas should be specifically defined in the nas coal list, so that it's easier for people to post 'tosses, gigachads, etc. I also added a rule against homosexuality because I believe that it has no place here, even if ironic.
For moderators:
1. You are to only ban by what you see listed in the rules, anything else and you will be demoted or even permabanned depending on severity. For users, email
[email protected] and explain why if you believe that you have been banned by a janny breaking this rule.
2. For rules 1, 2 and 4, you are to permaban without question. 3 is more specific, if it's porn, permaban. If it's gore or something that can be argued to be not overtly suggestive, give short bans and permaban repeat offenders. For 5 and 6, give short bans and permaban repeat offenders. A short ban is herein defined as anything below a week's worth of time.
3.You are to never appeal anyone who has broken rule 1 or 2 or has posted porn. Any other rule is perfectly fine to appeal, granted the person legitimately wants to stop whatever action got them banned or believes that a mistake was made.
4. No namefagging or revealing your position outside of /qsw/ without approval, failing to do so will be punished at administrator discretion.
Channels:
[home] [qsw/soy/raid] [md/cul/lib/g] [rules/bans/telegram]Basically I believe that the layout should be le close to the sharty or whatever, like /qsw/ being the first board in the list.
/qsw/ The same as it is now is fine.
/soy/ Should be a board dedicated to any topic, I don't see the point of /pub/ other than making people afraid that their posts will be moved randomly, etc. It should be the most used board and treated as such.
/raid/ More slowburn efforts ig, like doxxing and the like.
/md/ Discussion of whatever media people like to consooom, basically the same.
/cul/ Pol/int but focused on everything relating to foreign culture, so travelling, food, politics, etc. It could just be /int/ though. Not /i/ because that's le ugly.
/lib/ Basically /sr/ but dedicated to all serious topics, with the point being to grow real skills.
/g/ Generals, basically soy but with dedicated threads to any topic. Less serious /lib/ if you will.
/rules/ Combined with /about/.
/telegram/ added so the pin in /soy/ doesn't have to exist.
Le other finishing touches:
We need some sort of stunt. So if anything like this does go through, it would be nice to raid or spread the word as much as possible, and always make it feel like something is being done, it's growing, etc. I talk repeatedly about how I like admin namefagging, so it would be nice to have something like that. Like maybe a tripcode that multiple people use. Above all, we should try to separate ourselves from the idea of being a splinter or an alternative, we should be something completely new and unique. Maybe we should (or I could maybe) make a custom css to propagate this further. Also every channel should probably have a sticky explaining the point of the board and explain rules.
I'm open to any discussion. What I said may be wrong, controversial, worded poorly, etc, so try to address any issues you have with it here. Or if you could improve on this in any way.
